How do you make strawberry cheesecake fat bombs?
I kept this recipe to 4 ingredients. The cream cheese, Kerrygold butter and Swerve natural sweetener are keto / low carb staples in my house, so keeping the ingredients on hand is kind of a slam dunk.
When should you eat fat bombs on a keto / low carb diet?
Fat bombs are great any time you have a craving, feel like you need a sweet or something to tide you over until your next meal. Because they are high protein, the curb your appetite and keep you satisfied longer.
You mix it well. Yes, it’s lumpy, which means I didn’t mix this batch well. You’ll notice some small chunks of cream cheese, which is fine. It will still taste amazing.
Yep, looks dreamy, doesn’t it? Pour the Strawberry cheesecake fat bomb mixture into whatever moulds you currently have (I use ice cube trays) or scoop them onto parchment paper like I did with my chocolate cheesecake fat bombs. These are one of the top keto / low carb recipes on my blog.
Some tips to make keto fat bombs
Freeze for several hours until firm. I usually freeze overnight. Pop them out and store them in a freezer bag the freezer. It’s like an ice cream treat!
Yep, mine had too many cream cheese pockets, so mix a little longer until the lumps are all gone.
You could substitute other berries too, or other fruits that are lower carb. Imagine raspberry, blackberry or blueberry! Depending on your macro preferences, you can add more berries to make it more flavored. And use fresh or frozen – either works. That way you don’t have to wait for the prime berry season to have these treats.
How many fat bombs can you have on keto?
Calculate your macros based on the ingredients you select and determine how many you can have. It may be tempting to eat 3 or 4 at a time, but if you go over your protein, you may regret it. Fat bombs typically don’t have many carbs, so you’re probably good there, but the protein – that’s what can get you. These are a supplement to your meals – not the meal itself.
