I live for mashmallow peeps this time of year. But not year round the way some people do. I understand mad love for marshmallow, and Peeps, for me, are a reminder of my childhood Easters. So I made this wonderfully delicious Peeps S’mores Dip to enjoy at every Easter Brunch!

Beck lined up the one on the left. I made mine on the right. In case you were wondering.
Why is a S’more called a S’more?
No one seems to be 100% sure when the term s’more was coined or by whom, but the first publication was of a smores recipe was found in 1927. This recipe was called “some mores” and was in Tramping and Trailing with the Girl Scouts. A woman named Loretta Scott Crew is the woman who has the credit for this original “some mores” recipe. Easter is such a fun time of year to get your younger kids or grandchildren all excited with some baking sessions in the kitchen.

I wanted to put a twist on a popular treat idea with my Easter Peeps S’mores dip. This simple recipe can be created easily in just a few minutes and provides hours of yummy goodness for anyone who loves s’mores.
How do you make s’mores without a fire?
As you can see I have solved this problem! Following my step by step instructions, you’ll quickly have some s’mores without a campfire. This delicious dip is fun for the whole family, that is if you’re a fan of Easter peeps!

What can you substitute for graham crackers?
I’m not sure why you’d want to substitute graham crackers in this unique s’mores recipe but alas if you must know what are some other cracker options to use for this Easter Peeps S’mores dip, then consider these options; cookies, ginger snaps, or vanilla wafers.

The colorful design makes this a fun kid-friendly recipe for a midday treat without having to get out the fire pit and go outdoors. Since Easter falls during the rainy spring season, this s’mores recipe will give you a piece of summer before summer arrives.

Peeps S’mores Ingredients
It’s simple.
Take a pan and spread peanut butter on the bottom. We used round pans just cuz.
Now sprinkle chocolate chips over that. How many is up to you. We covered the pan with a thin layer. You could go wild if you wanted.

Realize you have too many Peeps because you bought out Target last week and make another pan. This is how Beck got to “experiment”.

When you are ready to bake, keep an eye on them – you’ll need their heads to toast a little until it’s all melted.

Scoop it up with a graham cracker
Once it’s hot and melted, remember to share. That’s the hardest part of the whole dessert. Or ‘zerts as Beck likes to call them. Gotta have our ‘zerts.

How many boxes of graham crackers do you need for smores?
How many boxes of graham crackers you need for this Easter Peeps s’mores dip will depend on how many guests will be digging into this delicious dip. One box of graham crackers usually has 70 crackers which is quite a lot if you’re only making this yummy treat for a select few in the home.

Get more traditional and make a S’mores sandwich! Since Peeps are a year round thing now, you’ve got a dish for ALL the holidays!
