If Keto has you missing that taste of chocolate and coconut candy, we’re about to make things a whole lot better for you! We’ve discovered the Coconut Chocolate Chip Fat Bomb – strong on coconut, sweet and chocolatey and perfect for when you need a fat bomb boost. It reminds me of a Mounds bar!

Why do we need fat bombs?
Fat bombs aren’t essential to a keto diet, but they sure do make the transition easier. Fat bombs should include keto approved fats to help keep your hunger at bay. They are great eaten when you have a weak moment by curbing cravings. Fat keeps you full, so making sure you’re eating keto approved fats works.

What Coconut Flour and Sweetener Do These Use
These are super easy and you’ll most likely have all the ingredients on hand. We’ve listed the brands we use in the recipe at the bottom – but your brands will work just fine. Just remember that you may need to adjust quantities for taste and texture if you do use different brands.

Our favorite keto sweetener is Swerve. While most natural keto approved sweeteners are good, we use erythritol brown sugar sweetener in addition to white sugar sweetener to add some extra tang to the taste. It makes a subtle difference, but I can definitely taste it.

When can you eat keto fat bombs?
They are cakey and chewy and satisfy all those wants. I’ve been having a few with my bullet proof coffee in the morning. I feel like I’m eating candy for breakfast. I also use Kerrygold butter in these, so if I do have a few for breakfast, I might cut the butter in my BPC. They also make great snacks for the mid-day cravings.

How long do fat bombs take to freeze?
We like to refrigerate fat bombs overnight, but if you’re in a hurry for a sweet treat, they’ll be good to go in about 2 hours. If you’ve made a small batch that you want on hand in the fridge, they’ll store for a week or two – depending on the ingredients.
You’ll want to make these so if you can’t make them now…
