We tried. We really did. I’m not blaming the cookie company. I’m not blaming our dog who was sniffing under our feet and potentially waiting for candies to drop. I’m not blaming the fact that a 3 year old was sitting on the table trying to eat everything as we put it together.

We have no one to blame but ourselves.

OK so maybe the 3 year old a LITTLE. We’ve made houses that have been … let’s say not horrible. They may be a little off or the icing might not be just so, but they at least look like a house.

This train kit tho…

Construction started out pretty steady. I was having a little trouble with the icing bag, but I improvised with a new bag and things were chugging along.

Beck was really trying to put the candies in the right places – and doing a pretty good job.

But slowly it started leaning to the right. And by the time we’d put the whole thing together…

GINGERBREAD TRAIN

Within minutes it was just a late night dessert. I think we’ll stick to slice and bake from now on.

Merry Christmas to all!
