It’s 5:30 in the morning, and Buggie wakes up babbling, happy as can be. I roll out of bed and get ready for work. We head downstairs and I fix him some toast and put it on his table for him and he happily eats it all. I think to myself, “Great, this stomach bug is over and we can all resume our normal lives…”

Wrong.

Just before I can get him on the couch to change his diaper and clothes the cough/gag starts again, all too familiar. I wasn’t so quick with the towel this time and now it’s all over my carpet.

I’m thankful for days like these, honestly. My usually rambunctious boy becomes so sweet and innocent, and I’m reminded that he may be growing up, but he will always need his mommy at sometime in his life.

Hey, even space rangers get sick sometimes.

Sorry he’s been sick. Hope you manage to avoid catching it. My friend told me a story about her husband sitting down to watch a game and their toddler (who is not the cuddling type) sitting with him and cuddling. The husband thought it was so sweet and that she’d missed him while he’d been at work. The Mom knew it was because the daughter must be getting sick.

Sharon, The only way we knew he was sick with the ear infections was the snuggling. He’s always running around, even with a 101.1 fever in the waiting room at the doctors. It’s sad I love it when he’s sick, but very seldom do I get to just snuggle with my boy.
And so far (without jinxing it) I have avoided most illnesses he carries to this house! I should probably get my flu shot just in case, though…
