I’m so excited for Captain America: The Winter Soldier, that I had to spend some time reminiscing about the entire Marvel empire. I’m all about sci-fi and super heroes in this house.  B will be too, you watch.

So much of promotion is branding, right?  With the release of the new Captain America poster (see above right) I realized that there were some pretty cool similarities within the Marvel franchise in the way they marketed their movies.  The poster above, is so similar to the Iron Man 3 poster to it’s left.  Below we have Thor vs. Iron Man 3 in three different visual representations.  The similarities keep the Marvel branding so recognizable.  Smart move and obviously calculated on their part to unify the brand experience.

This begs the question, will similar Captain America posters follow?

    I never paid enough attention to the posters to consciously notice that, but they are definitely branded. I’m sure subconsciously it registered and accomplished what those smart marketers wanted. Thanks for the side by side pics!
