Mamavation Monday: New year, New me!

Insert Obligatory New Years Post Here:

Happy New Year people! How many years in the past have we all made resolutions and not stuck to them? I’ve done about 12, ever since I could comprehend what New Years resolutions were about, or really had opinions of myself that I wish I could change. This year, however, I have decided to turn a new leaf (never heard that one, eh?).

I finally get the opportunity to change, and really change. I have a son; a son who needs me to be the best that I can be, not just for me, but for him. Granted, this son doesn’t need me to lose weight, therefore: my top resolution this year is not to lose weight, but to become a healthier being in general. This includes healthier eating habits and exercising for my health (and to keep up with him) so that I can live a long, happy life and be a good role model for him.

Ok, I admit. There will be nights where I will just on a whim suggest cake for dinner, but this is a treat people. You should treat yourself every once in a while. It is healthy.

I’ve pulled out the Insanity DVD’s I purchased near this time last year (before I found out I was preggo), found some great yoga videos on youtube, cut out sodas, and started riding again which provides both therapy for my mind and cardio and strength for my body!
