This past weekend I got to spend good times with good friends to celebrate this baby coming into this world.
AKA- good food, good people, gifts. Let’s be real here.
My sister and her friend Casey threw me my shower, and it was the best shower ever! I might be a little biased, but bear with me here. Aunt coco (as people should call her-starting now) made all of the decorations. It was the perfect color scheme for the fall weather, and I even took some of the decorations home to hang in the nursery.
As for the food: home amde apple cider, apples and caramel, pumpkin cookies, chocolate covered pretzels (i’m addicted now) and even a delicious cake made by a friend adorned that festive table. As people came in, they dropped their gifts by the fireplace which was probably my favorite area…the decorations people, the decorations!!!
We ate, we mingled, we had a blast. We played a super fun game, fishbowl, which is a 4 round charades/catch phrase game where everyone throws in their own words. They were baby related of course, and majority said diapers, pacifiers, and swaddle.
Then of course we all gathered around and opened the gifts. I recieved so many gifts that will be useful to my first few moments as a mom: clothes, diapers, a bobby, and of course little lovies for Lil’ B just to name a few.
After gifts we all ran outside and took pictures with the changing leaves, which ended in a rough game of Red Rover that I sat out on. (I feel like running belly first and trying to break peoples’ arms is frowned upon when you’re 8 and a half months preggo)
As people left I couldn’t help but be so thankful to have so many great people in my life that are so supportive. They need their own shower, just for being so awesome!!
