My kids have never had really bad problems with acne and pimples. I guess we’ve been lucky in that respect. So we try little things here and there for the breakouts. Each teen / young adult seems to have their own little tricks for taking care of the occasional breakout, but nothing seems to work completely. It’s never been bad enough for us to consider any type of medication, but we’ve tried every over the counter cleanser and medication on the market.
Breakouts also seem to be more prevalent this time of year. I used to chalk it up to excessive sweating, but who knows if that’s really the cause. I know we wash faces more in the summer – any chance that makes a difference too?
I’m excited to take part in the Tria Blue Light Blog Tour, and try out the new technology in the Tria SPBL. The blue light acne treatment is something new to me and I’m excited to give it a try . The Tria blue light therapy is a dermatologist type treatment you can try at home. Using the device eliminates the bacteria that cause breakouts before they can start. By removing acne-causing bacteria, you can prevent clogged pores, blemishes, pimples and breakouts and reveal clearer, smoother, healthier skin.
The kids will be testing it out over the next few weeks and we’ll report on how well it tackles those outbreaks.
