So my seventh week is  over. Its weird to think, in a week  and a half I will go back to the doctor and get my first ultrasound!

So far, this week has been killer…

I’ve been feeling super duper tired, to the point that I find it hard to walk up three flights of stairs to my class. Or even the 20 steps from car to the first floor class…

THANKS MOM – NICE PHOTO

Morning sickness has kinda come to me all day, everyday. I’ve stocked up on saltines and heard ginger root supplements can help when nausea strikes, so I have some of those on hand wherever I go.

It’s made working hard. You might not know it, but being a host is EXHAUSTING. This is especially true when I want to go to bed at 9:30, but I’m stuck at Applebee’s until it slows down. I get very little sitting time, but my managers have worked around my situation, allowing me to eat if A. it is slow and B. I’m starving.

Which is actually most of the time. I feel like my body has two moods, hungry and sick. I don’t have cravings really, just extreme hunger, sometimes accompanied by nausea, which makes me afraid to eat, really. I don’t like throwing up, so I avoid greasy fast food at all costs.

But all of this will be worth it. I head to Disney next week (AHHH) for a little business/ vay-cay with mom and It just makes me so excited to one day share with my child the Magical World of DISNEY (imkindaobsessed).

My next update will be FROM Disney!  How cool is that?

Hi Sweetie! Saltines, Ginger Altoids and Peppermints are totally the way to go. I also kept oyster cracker packets in my pocket all the time and would stuff one or two in my mouth if I started to get queasy. You might be able to do that while working. I was really sick – runs in the family – aren’t you lucky! But, it magically went away for me after 13 weeks, so if you’re like me, you’re more than half way through it! Hang in there hon! Love you!

I feel for ya on the morning sickness. With my first it was really easy to figure out what was causing it. I stopped eating beef and the morning sickness left. With my second I just kinda poked away in the dark. Dairy seemed to be a major player but I couldn’t bear to give up everything. I love ice cream too much. :-)

You could try keeping a food journal. If you can’t nail it down the crackers and ginger will help. The thing that helped me most was peppermints and peppermint tea. The peppermints are handy when you are working. :-)

Ah yes! I agree on ice cream. I’ve stuck to popsicles so far, but ice cream is indeed the most amazing food I have ever consumed :) I will give the food journal a shot! But I’ve noticed its mostly smells (picking up beer and wine glasses at work will do that to me).
