Last weekend I had the pleasure of a lifetime to attend a Me Ra Koh Photography Confidence workshop in DC.  I learned so much and am still digesting all the info.

We stayed at a fabulous boutique hotel just down the road from DuPont Circle on P Street, the Kimpton Hotel Palomar.

(it’s a puppy friendly hotel which gives it 3 snaps in a circle in my book)

I was so busy taking photos of people in the workshop that I really didn’t get enough good photos of the hotel, but I did capture a few of my favorites.

They pretty  much revolved around my bed for obvious *dudeineedanap* reasons

The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated.

Hot pink bolster and fluffy animal print blanket on the bed.  I’m just sayin’.

I enjoyed their room service on Saturday night, a crab fettucini and eggplant dish.  I didn’t write the names down, but they tasted as good as these photos look.

I also was surprised and delighted by the Kimpton’s signature piece of whimsy, the zebra and cheetah bathrobes. I had the hardest time choosing. So I tried both.

In the end the zebra won out (that cheetah orange and my hair? *itsabitmuch*), and I wish I’d bought one (they are for sale usually for $90, but in October the price is reduced to $63, which is totally doable for holiday gifts!)

I’ll hope to visit other Kimpton properties in the near future!  They have locations around the country and I would definitely stay there again!

I booked that hotel for my dad a step-mom two years ago for Thanksgiving. We got an amazing price and they loved it.

They liked the pet-friendly option, how eco-friendly the hotel is, and at that time dad’s parking was free because he drives a hybrid.

Now I think they give a percent of parking for a hybrid, but it’s still a sweet deal.

Good review, Linda, and your hair looks great!

I love that hotel. All the Kimptons actually. My hub & I do the Kimpton thang for our anniversary each year – they make us feel so special! (They have great email deals, btw!)

we stayed there, too, I love the little boutique hotels… they’re a little pricey but if you can find a good bargain it’s definitely the place to stay.
