I have to tell you there’s nothing I love more than a night at home with the kids.  Even as they get older and have their own activities, there is one thing that bonds us always…

Our love of Star Wars.  It’s our “let’s eat off TV trays for Thanksgiving and watch a movie” movie.

Not even kidding….

This goes back a long way – back to the days when Caroline was ..oh maybe 7?… and had a crush on Mark Hamill.

So planning a movie night starts with deciding which movie to watch.  We all have our favorite Star Wars Movie – so we have to rotate.  It’s the one thing we can all differ on and NOT FIGHT ABOUT!

Food is next on the list – and while it used to be hands down Pizza, subs have taken over.  In all honesty anyone who will deliver.  On time.  On OUR time.

I’d love to say that turning off the computers and iPhones are important (and they probably are) but I’d just be shooting myself in the foot.  I’m the worst offender.  No apologies.

Sam’s Club is hosting an event through this week – you can purchase Blu-rays for a great deal during Sam’s Club’s Home Entertainment Month.   This  event ends this Friday  – hurry on over to catch the savings!    ….So in honor of that I get to give away a copy of…

Star Wars: The Prequel Trilogy (Episodes I – III) [Blu-ray] (photo shown above)

…so you can plan your own family movie night!

If I pick it’s The Princess Bride. If my husband picks, it would be Star Wars or Lord of the Rings. If the girls pick it would be Tangled right now.

Mary Poppins is my favorite but my kids would prefer Mulan. We are huge Disney fans – my husband is a big Star Wars fan though!!!

TAngled is a current favorite but my oldest children have recently discovered a love of Star Wars (thank you Aunts and Uncles). Another fun one is Facing the Giants which can all enjoy.
