Today was like most Wednesdays – wake up, brush my teeth, throw on some sweats, dig under the pile of crap on the table to find grab my keys, drive up to Starbucks for a (it’s fall baby!!) Pumpkin Spice Latte and cup of Oatmeal.

Last Week’s SBux Wednesday Haul

Today was not like most Wednesdays in that SBux – the one with the drive thru that is 2 minutes from my home – was out of Oatmeal.

So I was going to drive to McDonalds for some of theirs when I remembered I had a McD Oatmeal coupon at home and that I needed to use it, but the gas it would take to get home and back out would negate the $.50 I was saving from the coupon PLUS McD’s is 3 miles away anyway, so I bought a scone at SBux instead :(

Don’t get me wrong I love their scones, I’ve just come to love my Wednesday Oatmeal.  And missing that threw me off enough that I had a friend bring me lunch ‘cuz I didn’t think I could go out again – which was fine – and we ate in the den while I worked on a few things on the computer.

I thought I was having a hot flash but it seems my Macbook Pro 15 inch WITHOUT THE SD CARD READER THANK YOU VERY MUCH was just heating up and making me sweat.

Pile on the stress of a work day and it was almost impossible for me to relax at the hair salon during my shampoo head massage and hot towel treatment.  And I live for that massage every 7 weeks especially since they have to double charge me for a hair cut since my hair is so thick…

Now I’m home writing this hoping my lap doesn’t burn again and setting my iPhone 4 alarm a half hour earlier so I can get to SBux before they sell out.

Oh the problems of the First World – how do we survive?

I don’t know how you are still alive…At least you got your Pumpkin Spice. That might be what held you over.

I just went to Starbucks last week to get a mocha with pumpkin spice – a combo that a former boss introduced me to a few years back. I have thick hair too, but haven’t ever been charged double for it to be cut. I go in for a cut later in the week and will ask if they’ve ever double charged someone for having such thick hair!
