What does it mean to be a mother?

At Mom 2.0 I was interviewed buy the Milk Mustache people – you know, Got Milk? I got a little teary as you can imagine especially if you read my post on moving on.

“Like Mother, Like Daughter” is a new initiative by the Milk Mustache folks. The Health Legacy Summit launched it just last week in Washington DC launched it just last week with nutrition and health experts studying the crucial link between mothers, daughters, food and health. The panel, which included Jenna Bush Hager, Dr. Alanna Levine of the American Academy of Pediatrics, registered dietitian and author Liz Ward, editor-in-chief of Family Circle Linda Fears, and childcare expert Jeannette Torres-Alvarez, reviewed research on how the older generations make an impact on youth, and that with awareness, knowledge and skills mothers will pass on a legacy of healthier food and beverage choices, body relationships and increased physical activity to their daughters, granddaughters.

Happy Mother’s Day!

Your mom was quite a force in my life. Being her little sister was a wonderful experience but also a little daunting. How would you like to have a roll model who was strikingly beautiful, brilliant, popular, strong, and fun loving? I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. She would be so proud of you and how you have loved and cared for your family. This is a lovely tribute to her. Thanks.
