That’s right. You read it correctly. This giveaway is about paying it forward.

I typically don’t post anything baby related but this is different.  It’s about families and helping others, and making a difference in every baby’s life.  Me Likey.

I’m working with American Pop and Pampers on this initiative and I was given a $50 Amex Gift card to make a difference in someone’s life.   The family I’m surprising doesn’t know it yet so I’m keeping it under wraps.

…for now…

Some bloggers who participated have used the money to purchase diapers for a family who could use them or used the money to prepare meals for a family.

What would you do with $50 to Pay Forward?

At Pampers Facebook page , you have the ability to pay-it-forward.  It’s a series of missions… the first was about Mother’s Day and the next “Mission 2” is about Father’s day. Here’s the cool part….if they get 4,000 commitments to complete the mission, Pampers will throw special Father’s Day cook-outs for dads and babies across the country designed to give dads and their babies valuable bonding time. It’ll be a day to remember.  And Pampers will issue different missions throughout the entire year to celebrate all aspects of parenthood, hoping to touch the lives of every baby born in the next year.  LOVE. THIS. IDEA.

Let’s help them reach the 4000 goal!  Head over to Pampers on Facebook and “Accept the Mission” – you can go now.  I’ll wait…

Ok, the giveaway part….

Just like I will do some random act of awesome for a family in need, I have a $50 AMEX gift card to give away for YOU to do the same.

HOW TO ENTER:

Well obviously I want to know what you would do to pay it forward!  Leave a comment with your idea!  How would you help a family in need?

I would get food for the single mother and her two kids who live down the street. Her husband died last August, and she is having a tough time making ends meet.

I would use the money to buy seeds to plant in our community garden, which would help many families throughout the summer in a food desert on the west side of the city by providing them with yummy, fresh organic produce!

The local crisis pregnancy center has their annual fundraising walk next weekend. I am participating, but have been hesitant to solicit donations from friends/family since things are so tight for most everyone these days. If I won the gift card, I would give it to the pregnancy center.

I have a very sweet friend who is from another country. She recently had a baby, and because she is not a citizen, she does not have insurance here. Her hospital bills are outrageous. I would love to give this card to her so she could do something special for herself after having a baby.

How kind of you to do this.
