I have worked with Invisalign Teen for some time now.  I’m finally at a point where I can tell y’all that I am part of the Invisalign Teen Mom Advisory Board, a group of moms who have a child in treatment or are going through treatment themselves.  As part of the process, my daughter receives complimentary treatment and I give my honest opinion about the process.  The good and the bad.

This is the before treatment photo…

So far so good.

Maggie is 17, and had gone through phase 1 when she was younger.  Then as she grew, we needed to take  care of some crowding.   We were fortunate that she is a candidate for the treatment and were happy to learn that Invisalign is not just about the cosmetic.  They are able to work more difficult cases these days and a look at the technology will make your jaw drop.

For a 17 year old girl it’s all about self esteem and feeling good about your appearance is key.  You have to get under Maggie’s nose practically to tell she is wearing them.  Our office visits are around 15 minutes.  I live tweeted one that was 11 min car to car.

No kidding.

I had braces as an adult and the time alone saved in emergency visits makes it worth AT LEAST getting a consult.  We went with one of the preferred doctors on the Invisalign Teen site (they have done more cases) and are about 4 months in now.

She’s smiling and that’s so important to me!  And for the most part you will find that the costs are comparable to wearing metal braces.  Now YOU are smiling, right?

We are contributing to a site in an advisory capacity called Moms On Braces, a place where you can ask questions, find info on both Invisalign, metal braces and dental care.  Look for our posts to come there and follow the other moms as we all share our experiences with treatment.

I’m also happy to answer any questions here! Oh and here’s a little video I did in the beginning…about our decision and the benefits we’ve seen.

My daughter received complimentary treatment for Invisalign, and we are sharing our personal opinions about the process.  Follow our hashtag #InvisalignMom for more info!

This is definitely the way I want to go for my daughter. I’ve been impressed with everything I found out about this company and how they correct teeth.

We visited the HQ in Silicon Valley. and for the company mission, it’s not just about the technology and being ABLE to do what they do, but there is a huge focus on kids and self esteem. Love a company that cares

April, I would suggest that you get a consult. They can do amazing things with difficult cases and getting a few opinions would definitely let you know if Invisalign is an option. All doctors are well trained, and you will find that the ones on the “preferred provider” list on the site have done more cases, therefore see the more complex ones. I’d start there. Happy to answer any other questions!

      good luck!
