Hanes has been one of the companies that has always impressed me with their commitment to causes and this month the cause is obviously Breast Cancer Awareness.  If you haven’t checked out their product line, well, it’s tons of pink in the *wait for it* Pink Collection – panties, bras, socks, and tees designed to create awareness for the cause. As part of the collection, Hanes spokesperson and film star Melina Kanakaredes has designed three T-shirts meant to inspire and encourage others to join her in the fight against breast cancer.

Hanes recently launched an online Design and Buy program where visitors can  design their own T-shirts adorned with messages of hope, love and support. And 10 percent of the proceeds from all custom T-shirts through the Design and Buy program will be donated to Komen for the Cure.

It’s fun and easy…if you design one I’d love to see it!

OH right, the giveaway…I’m happy to be giving away some items from the Pink Collection…

A set of pink socks and a Hanes Comfort Bra! I know! It’s not everyday I get to give away unmentionables on my blog…AHEM. It’s for a good cause!

All you have to do is leave me a comment telling me how you went PINK in the month of October!

Extra entry if you design a shirt and link to the design here. Want to know an easy way to link? Download Jing or Skitch and take a screen cap and put the link in the comments…like this… http://skitch.com/linney/d5x2p/design-a-t-shirt.  Fun huh?

And extra entries for tweeting and/or facebooking this post (link and title incluced) Let’s spread the word about Hanes and BCA!

You have until October 21 to enter and winner will be announced on October 22.

Does pink toenail polish count? I do wear pink polish most of the time, but I’ll wear it all month for BCA!

I was more pink this year by being active in Oct supporting various events. This fall it seemed that I was more reflective and aware of just how many family and friends are breast cancer survivors.
