When I went to New York for the Unilever Family Dish Brand Ambassador trip, we actually got to visit the labs where they test products for the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval.

GH Front Door

I know, it was only one of many “pick your jaw up off the floor” moments.

We entered the front door and immediately saw the seal and a wall of products that passed the test and some that did not.  Then we toured. They had rooms devoted to each type of product: chemical based products like hair color, small and large appliances, fabrics and textiles, food, and on and on…each room with different scientists testing various aspects of each product.

looks like they've been testing apple sauce

And giving or not giving the seal.

As a mom blogger product reviewer shopaholic foodie and tech expert wannabe (*inhale), this would be a dream job for me.  I swooned in each room thinking how good I would look in that lab coat testing those blenders, turning them on and on and on and…

Might need a cold shower now.

It was too fun and an amazing experience, one I am truly grateful to Unilever and Good Housekeeping for giving me.  Follow more of my escapades on flickr!

I participated in the Family Dish as a Unilever Brand Ambassador and received perks and cool stuff and this trip to NYC.
