I love the Rachael Ray idea of a garbage bowl for the counter.  I have done this myself to keep the counter clean while I cook *ahem prepare food… (*ahem.. wing it)

(image cred)

But why stop there. #causeimlazyenoughalready In addition to the scraps bowl, I use a box or bag…box for stuff that is recyclable, bag for stuff that is not.  I keep them by the sink…and at the end of the dinner cleaning process, they go in the appropriate receptacle.  Handy to use during the day when you cook (HA YOU COOK DURING THE DAY?) as well.

Now my counters are kept clean while I cook (stop laughing) and cleanup is a snap.

Whoops, it’s still sitting there.  Off to toss!

Are your cereal boxes in alphabetical order ala Jerry Seinfeld?

I wish, lol! I just buy whatever is on sale or looks healthy which leads to a mixed countertop (KASHI next to Froot Loops, etc)
