I do my shopping at PETCO, okay, mostly because it is five minutes from my house and next-door to Trader Joe’s.  But now I have an even better reason for shopping there.  Y’all know Buster, our mini-schnauzer, cake eater and broken arm hazard creator who struggles with food issues.

We have spent a lot of time trying to figure out exactly what is wrong and if food allergies are the issue.  It seems now that we are addressing his thyroid that he is doing much better.  Then there is Monkey our slightly big boned (okay she’s HEFTY) cat.  While we want her to lose weight, she also has had some health issues, that have made us worry when she is losing weight.  That is kind of a double-edged sword.

So I have no idea what to do.  I basically scan the aisles trying to pick up up what looks like it is a good fit for the animals.  We also have Lil Ding  the cat, who basically has no issues, except that he thinks he owns the house.   We tried the food at the vet, and have yet to find something that – number one they like, and – number two works for them.  Okay that is enough about me and my animals, what about PETCO?

First off, I was not paid or compensated in anyway to talk about this. *disclosure baby*

PETCO is training 2000  nutrition experts to work in their stores nationwide.  They are also training consumers, both online and at all PETCO stores on November 14 at 2 PM  by providing information on nutrition for animals,as they focus on Premium Nutrition, meaning foods that go above the minimum standards required for pet food.  They are helping consumers (um the pets) lead long healthy lives with their humans.

So if  you have not checked PETCO out lately,  this is a good time…they are doing good things.
