I’ve recently had a lot of computer difficulty. I had the help of Computer Support Genius Stewart Nickel (hubs to @twincident) to clean up my software issues, and when he diagnosed the hardware problems (all remotely, this guy rocks) I ran, not walked to my Seagate FreeAgent Portable Hard Drive. As luck would have it, I was sent one (cute red, btw) for review at the same time and I needed to back up everything FAST….

Seagate is a name we’ve trusted for a long time. Our first back up HD was a 4 gig and was the size of a small book. This one is 500 gig ($150 value) and the size of a medium Hershey bar. LOVE IT… It’s vacation season, and if you plan on traveling with your computer, TAKE THIS WITH YOU…you never know when a problem will arise and you need to back up everything quickly!

The FreeAgent Go offers capabilities of 250GB, 320GB, 500 GB and 640GB

Sets up easily with USB 2.0

Backup is effortless. Getting started couldn’t be easier. You can set it up in minutes with no CD.

Still haven’t decided what to get that graduate? I know mine is getting one of these…(not this one, though he has his eye on it) Travelling to Blogher or other conferences this year? Make sure you are prepared for any accident or catastrophe!

Don’t lose those vacation pictures because your hard drive fails…back them up on this after you load them on your pc…it takes up so little room, it’s a no brainer.

….and with models starting at $75, it’s great insurance!

I’m giving away one Seagate FreeAgent Go 500 GB to Short Pump Preppy readers!!

With computers getting so small (including their hard drives), small portable hard drives that are powered via USB gives everyone the opportunity to take virtually everything with them everywhere. It is a life changer for people that make a living on data and people that want to keep up with technology on a budget. The “Seagate FreeAgent Xtreme 1TB” is my personal favorite because it is such a powerhouse.

The expansion hard drives look great. We need more room on our computer. I have been researching these for a few weeks now-there are SO many to choose from, it’s overwhelming research. I have decided, though, that I want and need a portable hard drive. I can’t imagine something happening where everything on my computer was just…gone. And with this 500GB, I could definitely backup my entire hard drive & feel so much more secure! thanks so much for the chance to win it!

These devices come in a range of storage sizes and colors, too. It’s a perfect backup and storage device since to many things on a computor can dause it to run slow or crash.
