I have such a hard time keeping one side of my hair straight or curled under. It always wants to flip out. This straightener would help that! Thank you!

    May 15, 2009 at 7:40 pm (9 years ago)

I have very thick hair which has some natural curl/kink in random spots, which naturally makes some of my hair flip out on the ends even when I blow dry them under. Basically my hair seems to do whatever it wants regardless of how I try to tame it and I would love to see if this flat iron can do what my current one doesn’t.

    Thanks for the contest!

My biggest problam is that I take the time to try curling my hair and it loses the curl withen the hour. Maybe this flat iron would help.

  12. Suanne Giddings
    May 15, 2009 at 5:30 pm (9 years ago)

My biggest hair challenge is that I have naturally curly hair, but some spots are curlier than others, some places are just wavy. In humid weather I have a halo of frizzy hair around my head. My current flat iron was very cheap – and it is one step above useless. You get what you pay for, but sometimes you just don’t have the money for good performers. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this giveaway!

After I posted my original entry, I was reading what others wrote. I think that Kari Stevens (comment 21) who posted today about her cemo hair should win this. She seems to have gone through quite a lot. I’m just greatful to have my curly frizzy hair!

My hair gets frizzy when I don’t lay out a bunch of hair serum on it. I love to use a straightener but the one I have doesn’t do a great job. It does OK on the front but the back is very difficult. I would love to use a great straightener!

I have wavy hair and it gets frizzy when I blow dry it. I would love to wear sleek styles, but my fuzz just doesn’t cooperate. I try to tame it with my curling iron, but I would love to have a flat iron instead!!

I do use a flat iron – I have a sort of wedge cut, that can get frizzy. The iron I am now using is limited, in that it pulls on my hair most of the time I use it. I could sure use a new iron, and one of this caliber. Thanks for this chance.

I have recently been in remission from breast cancer. My hair is now a few inches long, however it came back in so thick it wont lay down and it doesnt shine. I need my self esteem back and a flat iron could do the trick.

My biggest hair challenge is body without having a ‘lion head’. I recently cut my shoulder blade length hair to short and sassy and I am finding new styles to do to it daily which is a fun change. I can now wear it flippy, straight, spikey, and I love it. Would love to have a good quality flat iron to do these styles with so I am not damaging my hair as much because now that it is so short if I fry it…well there isn’t much left to cut off without having ‘man hair’ rofl!
Thank you for the chance, have a great weekend.

My biggest hair challenge is keeping the frizzies away! My hair is long, coarse, color treated and highlighted and I try to take great care of in because of all the “damage” I may be causing it by coloring and styling. As a result, the frizzy wizzies! I have been wanting a flat iron so I can tame my hair, and achieve all those ultra straight sleek hairstyles that are so popular right now. So, thanks so much for the chance to enter.

My hair is getting a wave and frizz to it as I get older, and it’s so hard to get it straight and smooth with just a blow dryer. That lovely, smooth salon look only happens the couple times a year I get a haircut and professional blow dry. My daughter has a great flat iron I’ve tried a few times and love it, but she took it off to school with her. The nerve!

I have thick, curly hair that frizzes in the humidity ! It is so bad here where I live most of the year. I had a straightening iron but it broke and I haven’t had the money to replace it at this time, besides it was so big and hard to handle. Straightening my hair seems to improve it alot so it doesn’t frizz as bad !

    Dear Linda,

Approximately 11 months ago, a dear family friend, (who is like a mother to us), was recently laid off after working over 25 years in the insurance industry. Due to the current economic situation, she has been unable to find a job and lost the apartment she was residing in. A former co-worker has given her place to stay, but she has to sleep on the living room couch. Prior to losing her apartment, she gave her bed to an elderly couple that lived next door because she felt they “needed it more” than she did. This is just one of the innumerable acts of kindness she is known for.

Linda, this flatiron would be a blessing to her because she has very curly hair and recently shared with the girls, that she needed a new one. We are taking up a collection for her, but money is tight for many people. Thanks for providing this opportunity to share my story with you! :)

Well, to be honest, I don’t have many problems with my hair. I keep it kind of short. It’s my wife’s hair that I have a challenge with! She is so paranoid about her hair! And despite what I tell her, she is never completely satisfied. So for her birthday this year I was going to surprise her with a real nice flat iron. But I’m your typical guy/husband that knows absolutely nothing about this subject lol. So what do I do? Easy, I use my good friend “Google”. So after finding out that the “Hana Elite” is one of the best, I look for reviews and, well here I am! So please help me make my wife happy by allowing me to give her the best flat iron ever! Thanks! Oh and by the way, Short Pump Preppy ROCKS!

For years I fought my flat, straight hair by getting perms on the top for some lift. It’s gotten too expensive so I’ve decided to embrace my flat side which is tough to do with the blow dryer and curling iron I own. Right now, I’m in the grow-out stage so if I don’t wash and style it daily, I look like something the cat dragged in.

My hair IS the challenge. Nothing can ever make it look good, so I am especially looking forward to trying a flat iron. It’s thick, coarse, and dry and frizzes with the slightest humidity. Serums don’t help much.

I have very fine, somewhat thick hair. The problem is that my hair is totally straight except for a couple of places that have a ‘wave’ and I cannot get rid of it. I need a new straightener to get rid of the waves and add some body to my very limp look. Thanks for the awesome giveaway.

  300. Sue
    April 30, 2009 at 4:11 pm (9 years ago)

My hair is curly around my face and above my neck, but straight on top. So unless I do some serious straightening while blowing my hair, or using an iron, it’s hideous. I don’t have a nice flat iron and also have fine hair, so when I do flat iron it, I have to be careful not to burn it. Tragic isn’t it?

I am South American and have lots of thick curly hair. I live in Florida now and the combination of hummidity and poor quality water really does a number on my hair. My biggest challenge is maintaining a professional look and still manage it on my own since I can’t really afford to have my hair done by a stylist all the time. It takes me about an hour to blow dry it straight on my own and I would LOVE to cut that time down by using a flat iron.
