What’s in my CD player right now? A CD I recieved to review as part of the Music Moms Review program.  Not kid’s music, but music for me… Cornielle’s CD The Birth of Cornielle is a blend of Bluesy, Adult Contemporary, Easy Listening.  OK, so my kids were actually tapping their fingers by the middle of the CD but don’t tell them I saw them.

Thoroughly enjoyable and his voice is mild and soothing.  LOVED IT!

My favorites: track 1. Back to Life – *snaps fingers*

3. Liberation – *taps feet a little*

7. Too Much of Everything – * sways back and forth*

Nice to have music I can put on in the background and {cough} work around the house, relax while cooking.  Nice easy listening.

Music has been the place where I could go to hide and forget about the world. I couldn’t make sense of a majority of the things that happened to me, so I used music as a shield. But over time, music has become a vehicle to channel out everything that I’ve been keeping from myself for all these years. And the new album is definitely the most honest, real assessment of everything that’s happened in my life, because I’m not trying to hide as much.

Cornielle is a Red Cross Canada Spokesperson and has been made a Unicef Goodwill Ambassador.
