Say hello to my new BFF’s.

Jaana and Julia are the brains and the bods behind the Core Rhythms dance exercise DVD’s.

I know…well, my abs know.  I’ve been working out for 2 days.  *winces*

“So Jaana, why is dancing so good for you *pls pass the advil*

“Dance is not only fun and motivating but it also has many physiological benefits: it improves your stamina; it works your core, improves flexibility, and elevates serotonin levels that make you feel happy

‘”OK, that makes sense! *counts out 2 advil*

But it’s hard work!  I mean, I just jumped right in…do you have any advice for the beginner?”

(Or someone like me who thinks they can handle more than they actually can?) *swallows advil, digs around cabinet for Bengay*

“Ballroom is a great sport. The great thing about ballroom is that you can be any size, shape or any age. Remember to start at your own pace and your own level. First learn how your core moves, then where your feet go. This way the dancing will feel natural from the start and you won’t feel discouraged. Enjoy the music and enjoy the fun it brings to your life.”

“OK, so I should have called you first, hmmm?”

Well, now that I’m into it full force, I’m headed over to the http://www.corerhythmscommunity.com.

For some support (whining) and advice (more whining) until I get past this initial stage…remember the goal!  ABS LIKE THEM!!

Oh, did you see the video!  It really is that much fun. I KNOW!  I don’t work out either unless it’s super fun…so this is right up my alley. Recently, Club Core Rhythms was launched as a supplement to the program with additional workouts, power tips, health advice, recipes and more! If you sign up now you get 60 days free! . Mary Murphy has attributed the core rhythms program to helping her lose 30 pounds.

That’s right…they don’t just hand you the DVD’s and leave you in the cold. Support is critical for any program.

And since Jaana and Julia are my BFF’s they are letting me give away the Starter Set of their DVD’s to one of my readers.  I know you guys look great, in fact I can tell you’ve been working out!

So you will definitely LOVE this set!

I would probably add this to my workout schedule, since what I do now is walk every other day and run the other days.

I would fit this workout in my day by doing it when I come home from work and after dinner is prepared and eaten. My current exercise program is somewhat sporadic because I do not always have the full amount of time available to complete the whole thing (including travel time). This workout on this DVD will be much easier to regulary fit in when I find some shorter periods of downtime–I can almost carve out a definite period of time to which I can commit.

If I had this dvd program I would dance my “weigh” through the rest of my life.

Seriously, right now the only muscle tone I have is in my right arm and that is from using the mouse I my computer.

I have good intentions because I bought one of those guganormous balls in a lovely shade of blue and I use that instead of an office chair. I bounce ten times before I get up and every time I sit down. All I have to show for that are a couple of black eyes.

So, you can honestly and sincerely see that I have good intentions and that I am not a fly by night worker outer because I am going to be a mother to the groom in less than ninety days and I want to be able to do that phuckin’ little chicken dance and not fall over from a heart attack because as much as I want my son’s wedding to be all about me that would not be the right way to go about it.

Love you more than any other commenter,

    Carrie

Before my difficult pregnancy, I did have a workout routine. When I get back into things in a couple of months (including the recovery time) I will need a quick, fun and doable routine. DVDs would be great so I can do them at home. I would like to start with the Kick Start, since I feel I will likely need to start all over again. Right now my excercise program involves walking about 2 miles every other day. In about a week I’m going to be starting bike riding.I’d use the Core Rhythms every other day to switch up my routine. I like how it says it’ll help with my butt and thighs. I think it’s good to change things up so one doesn’t get bored. I usually walk a couple of times a week but really need to amp it up. I would definitely make time for this type of workout. After 5 kids my midsection needs to reconnect with its core. It’s in there….somewhere.

Believe you Me, I’d fit this in! HaHa!! I stay home all day with my daughter so this is something I could definitely Squeeze in. Right now I use the Wii Fit for 20 minutes a day, almost every day, I would probably replace some of those with this routine! After having my daughter I gave up on Core training, so I’m kind of flabby, I think this would really benefit me! Thanks

I don’t have an exercise program unless you count me running after my daughter! LOL! I am in need of a good healthy work out. I really need to work my stomach and my thighs. As I get older and older it’s harder and harder to keep the weight off and the roll across my stomach just keeps getting bigger.

This looks great! I’m trying to focus on my core since I had a baby three months ago. I do pilates and resistance with weights, but I’m looking for a good cardio workout- this would be perfect!

Sadly, I do not fit exercise into every day, but I am working on it. I try to work out when my daughter is napping or playing in her swing in the afternoon. Many days, though, I end up using that time to catch up on chores!
